Mike Freebairn has come out on top at the 2018 Central Queensland IOM Championship at Hervey Bay finishing 11pts ahead of Greg Torpy with Allan Walker & Aaron Farrar two points further back in 3rd & 4th respectively.
Mike, with his recently launched Sedici handled the light and shifty conditions best, although it wasn't until race five in the fifteen race series that he put his nose in front.
Wind shifts saw race leads dwindle to placings at the bottom end of the top ten while others swooped from the back end to claim victory. With Torpy pressing hard late in the championship, it was Freebairn that held his nerve to finish victor.
